‘I was hired as a production manager initially as I have had previous production managing experience at a previous manufacturing warehouse. I chose to continue my journey in product management at Colorway as it is a very diverse workplace and I enjoy working with people who come from different backgrounds. Our partners are growing and our team is growing. I enjoy how our team grows with the very best skills; regardless of location or background’.

‘Well, it’s a low-risk way to sell custom products to any niche market. It’s also a very flexible industry as there is no need to hold your own inventory. CW handles all order processing, payment, production, and fulfilment. We also have our research and development team as well, which means we can create any unique product you’re looking for. It’s important to note that POD is suitable for both big and SME clients’.

‘I think just basically speak to them how they speak to you. If you do them favours, they’ll do you favours -it always works like that. Even though I’m their manager, I don’t have to always act like their manager. You can also be one of the guys. As a global production manager, I also have weekly meetings with managers at our other fulfilment sites. This helps me maintain good relations with other managers and ensure consistency in products and services’.

‘In the future, I can see CW on Demand becoming more sustainable. In 2020, 83% of orders were manufactured in the same country as the purchaser. For 2022, we are aiming for a higher number. We currently have 4 fulfilment sites and are going to add another site by the end of the year. This means we can lower our carbon footprint. The office has become more of a positive work environment. We’ve employed people who do certain roles who we haven’t had before. So for example, we have a designer now and someone who helps out with stock & day-to-day purchases’.
